Turkey can strengthen its economy with high value-added agricultural production. Turkey still imports more than half of the bananas it consumes. This situation, which causes a current account deficit, affects our economy badly. The Netherlands, which does not have as much land as Çukurova, makes agricultural exports close to Turkey's total exports. It is imperative for Turkey to increase agricultural production and grow value-added products in this area. With this belief, our company has invested in greenhouses on an area of 100 thousand square meters. We continue to produce the imported bananas of our country in our own greenhouses.
